Products
store/manage/products
Products are created by default on store creation but can also be migrated under the content management screen (See “Understanding the Content Migration Screen”) as well as the product catalog screen (See “Understanding the Product Catalogue Screen”).
Products and Brands are dependencies of products so when using the Product Catalogue screen you will be prompted to choose between two options:
Copy products along with brands and Categories will create brands and categories if they don't already exist.
Copy products without Brand and Category Information. The product will not be associated with a brand or quantity on migration even though it may have had these fields in the source environment.
Please note:
If the product does not exist in the destination store, it gets created.
If it exists, then it neither gets updated nor gets replaced.
