While you can, of course, migrate all products between environments, StagingPro gives you the flexibility to select specific products to migrate.
If you have not already done so, create a new environment and when selecting the categories to move, make sure products are de-selected. This will create a new, empty store that you can populate with only those products you want to use.
From the StagingPro dashboard, select “Product Catalogue.”
You will initially be presented with all the products available in the Production environment, but you can change this to select a different environment you want to copy from in the ‘Catalog Source’ dropdown box.
Using the ‘Advanced Filters,’ you can choose from a number of different criteria to narrow down specific products and use the tick boxes on the left of each record to select the products you want to use.
Note: you can move to additional search results pages without needing to save each page.
Once you are happy that you have selected everything you want, click on the “Copy Products” button at the top right of the screen. This will then allow you to choose which environment you want to copy these products to.
