Due to the potentially high numbers of orders and customers which may exist in a production environment, neither are migrated on store creation. Instead, you will need to use the “Content Migration” screen to confirm that you want to move this data. See “Understanding the Content Migration Screen

Order IDs in BigCommerce are incrementally assigned each time an order is created. Hence the original order number cannot always be retained. It is also because of this incremental behavior that records in the destination store cannot be deleted thus having the effect of the destination store continually growing with each migration that occurs. It is therefore recommended not to migrate orders unless it is absolutely necessary.

All orders which are migrated have their status changed to “Pending” as keeping the original status may trigger emails to be sent out to clients and because of this, it is assumed that these orders have not been shipped thus shipments are not migrated along with order data.
